Before I'll tell you something about my professional skills and experiences I would like to start talking about me. So first of all, some general point:

I grew up in Odenwald until I started to study computer science. Today I live with my partner in a beautiful maisonette apartment in Darmstadt.
Hobbies
In the past, I was addicted to going to the gym and to lift heavyweights. Today I love it just to put on my running shoes, go out, and enjoy nature.
After a good sports session, of course, you need a very good meal 😋 In my spare time, I also love to cook with friends where we just use fresh food and vegetables. After cooking together we usually start playing board games and have a lot of fun.
Freelancer - IoT & Data Analytics
Since 2022, I started my own business to offer my skills to my clients. I have a lot of background knowledge at the business unit IoT and Data analytics.
I love math and statistics ❤️ That is why I have specialized my skills in terms of streaming analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning aspects. Furthermore, I also started to improve my skills with EXCEL to create interactive and modern dashboard report designs.

Spending my time at the sales departure, I wanted to dig deeper into the developer lifecycle - but at the same time don't loose the connection to the customers. So I decided to change the team and started at the Professional Services departure.
Since this time, I gained much experiences about the SCRUM developing lifecycle as well as creating solutions for customers which are running in production. I listened to customer business needs, and advise them to gain more insights about theire IoT Data.

After completing the master degree in computer science, I seamlessly connect my career at Software AG, but this time taking place in the sales organization.
Being part of the pre-sales IoT & Analytics team, I've learned a lot about the sales lifecycle, how to demonstrate and to work out the value proposition for a customer when using our product. Part of my daily business was to understand the business of the customers! I listened to their work processes, asked about potential pain-points, and developed a solution to make their business even more successful.

Parallel to my university studies, I worked in the research team of Sofware AG. There I was involved in several funded projects, always in terms of processing and analyzing high volume and streaming data. Besides being responsible for developing rules with Software AG's Complex Event Processing engine called 'Apama', I occupied myself with machine learning algorithms. Especially I focused my studies, how such models can be used in an industrial productively environment.
As part of my work in the field of research, I had the opportunity to publish many of my works at conferences and writing papers.

Many projects accumulate within almost 10 years. And of course, despite smaller projects like preparing demo showcases for a fair or optimizing our product portfolio by having close contact with product management - in the following I will get an overview.

Skills
Apart from soft skills like being organized, structured, ambitious, and team-minded, I also wanted to point out my technical skills. During my journey in the world of IT, I learned different kinds of technologies, from object-oriented programming to web-based development and analytical technologies.
Java
At the beginning of my journey as a developer, I started with learning object-oriented programming with Java.
Python
When I am developing microservices, I prefer using python scripts as a quick and easy option for preparing PoC's.
R
To create prediction models. I used R for my thesis elaboration to forecast time series with ARIMA models.
sql
SQL
Besides working with relational and Non-SQL databases, querying in terms of streaming analytics is my absolute strength.
Docker
Because a container-based architecture offers many advantages, like low resource consumption, very flexible use for microservices, scalable, ... and much more.
HTML5
Working with an IoT platform, besides backend development, I also started working in the front-end area. Therefore, I created customized dashboard applications for demo purposes... And of course by creating this CV 😉
Angular
As a result of working in the IoT front-end team, every application and widget is based on Angular components.
JavaScript
Last but not least, working also with an integration platform, custom actions and workflows were developed using JavaScript.
MS Office
Wether writing documents in Word, preparing presentations in PowerPoint, or doing project planning and calculating in Excel sheets. I am feeling very comfortable working with those tools.
